Wow what a beautiful spring morning it's 5:10 and the birds are singing a song of the day ahead. This morning I would like to start the morning reflection with a quote "Karma moves in two directions. If we act virtuously, the seed we plant will result in happiness. If we act nonvirtuously, suffering results." Sakyong Mipham. It is so very important for us to realize that every little thing we do goes one way or the other on the karma scale. The smallest disruption or inhonorable act can brings us pain or suffering. I say this because even when you want to do something that is considered "bad karma" you have to really sit back and think about the ramifications. Small words can leave big imprints and send you flying in the direction of suffering. By being the bigger person and not giving in to nonvirtuous temptation you are ensuring the karma you have built up remains intact. As it is said the person who is acting nonvirtuously will see the effect of their actions in their life. So as our day goes on today and you are presented with moments where you can act with unkindness just remember that although you can use someone as an example in your generalities, pointing out someone specific and using their name will end in nonvirtuous outcomes. I know I don't need that!
